Frankly,

How can the design of a knowledge sharing system provide a judgment-free space for young girls seeking information about sexual health?

Responding to a singular patriarchal dissatisfaction and a passionate fervor for disrupting the status quo, the Frankly, project speculates how an organization based on feminist ideals can empower young girls to make choices about sexual health more actively and without judgment. While feminism is a charged topic with many misunderstandings, this project creates a distance from preconceived labels and stereotypes to create a unique identity and redefining empowerment.

As a three-person team, our design strategy started with concept mapping and precedent research. Considering the sexual health resources currently available to young girls, we developed a speculative service that offered workshops, mentorship and in-the-moment information creating a knowledge sharing, judgment-free space. Our focus with this project was to understand where and how to reach young girls seeking information about sexual health while reinforcing the topic as less of a taboo and more of a necessity.
